Feathers

I could swear this guy was posing for me. I got tons of photos of him before he wondered off. This is an East African Crowned Crane. These are his actual colors. Such a gorgeous bird.

What a pose! Standing on those skinny little legs with those feathers on his head sticking straight out. Awesome shot!

This is really nice. I love the way the crisp details of the bird are really brought out by the blurred background. A really excellent shot!

Thanks for all the great comments. To answer some questions. These are all shot with a Canon Rebel 300D. The lens is a Canon 75-300IS.

The park is non-profit. I haven't let them know about the PAD yet, but I will and will offer them any of the photos they want to use, but wouldn't charge them.

I am just 4 miles from the Safari! :) I know, I'm lucky.

Faye - Definitely share the pics with them. Since they are a non-profit, that would be very nice of you to not charge...but please be sure you are clearly credited. Maybe you'll get something more out of it!

Btw, it's 11:46pm here and you're running out of time to post. ;-) I SO don't want you to give up on this! Come on, come one, you can dooo it! (like the Geico commercial)

:-)

You won't be able to say you are an "amateur" for much longer if you keep posting this quality. This is awesome!
